^_^ Alex!

I hope we’re not losing momentum with our ‘letters’.  Got so much to write about—mainly about two things.

1) Typhoon Ketsana/Ondoy

Heard about it? My Facebook exploded with videos, pictures and pleas for help.  Our family and church has been trying to organize a way to donate money.  Jas said she had to wade through the flood and showered at least 3 times to make sure she was completely clean.  My mom’s family managed to stay safe.  Can’t say the same about their car or some of their things though but at least they’re all right.

2) The Sundance Kids

^_^ talk about lucky.  I entered this contest that CareerShop, a program they have at the University of South Australia for school leavers, to see the Adelaide rock band ‘The Sundance Kids’ in a private concert.  I never win anything.  Seriously.  Well, that is until I got the e-mail that I won double passes for the secret show.  So I took my friend Melly to see it.  They were absolutely awesome! So much energy, definitely popular with the girls (at least 85% of the winners were gals)—and the music is adventurous but still familiar.  Easy rock.  Although I was a bit deaf when we left the Student Lounge.  Then they signed free posters, gave out free singles and let us have pictures. The lead singer’s a hottie.  Definitely a new fave band for me!
